Instant Omni Unboxing, Initial Review, and Comparison Guide

Instant Omni Unboxing, Intital Review, and Comparison Guide

When the Instant Omni 9 in 1 Toaster and Air Fryer came out, there wasn’t a lot of information out there on it. After 3 tries to order online, 3 trips to NJ Walmarts, and 3 long trips across the George Washington Bridge…I finally got my hands on one! So here is a video to help you figure out if it’s worth the effort and then hopefully help you figure out how to get the darn thing working.

Great video! This is the first video I’ve watched of yours, so I apologize if I sound like a dummy! Do you do cooking videos? I just bought an Omni and excited to get started cooking with it!

Hi. I am so glad you like my video and you found it helpful. I do have a Youtube channel on Omni/Vortex/Instant Pot cooking. Some are recipe tutorials and some are user guides. I just started in August but I have had my blog for a year. If you watch YouTube it’s a great resource and if you subscribe to my channel it will update you anytime I add a new video.

Lana, thank you for the video. I just got mine today. Do you know if you could cook a whole turkey in it (Not on the rotisserie) and what size? If so how would you go about it- would you put it on the Solid tray in the bottom rack and still set it to “Air Fry”.

Exactly. I would use Air Fry or Roast and the solid tray. I’m not sure how big, but I’m pretty sure a 7 lb would fit. You just don’t want it too close to the top heading element.

My Omni Instant did not come with a book, so I’ve had a tough time trying to use it. I called the number listed and I get a short message and then a goodbye and they hang up. Is there a book that can help me with times and temps for using my Omni. My e-mail is katfreist@aol.co . Thank you for any help I can get. Kathy.

My Omni Plus 9-1 did not come with an instruction book either. Where can I get one? I think it’s awful that the manufacture does not include one considering what you pay for these air fryers. Thank you for your help and all of your instructional videos.

Hi. It is a shame they don’t offer a better manual however, it should have come with one. It’s possible you bought one that was returned and they didn’t put the manual back in? That said there is a more detailed manual online. https://instantappliances.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Omni-Plus-Toaster-Oven-Full-Manual.pdf

I kNow you said the vortex is easier to clean up then the Omni….is the Omni and Omni plus equally “difficult” to clean?

    Like

    1. drlanaperez's avatar drlanaperez says:

Well they say the Omni Plus has a non-stick coating. I foudn it pretty similar. But the truth is if you wipe it down after you cook or at least never cook in it dirty so the food and grease bakes in, it’s not that bad to clean up.

is the interior coating nonstick for Omni and Omni Plus? Is the airfryer basket stainless steel or Aluminim?

Omni Plus says the interior is nonstick. I’m not sure about the basket, I’ll have to look that up.

Can you use parsment paper in the Instant Omni?

    Like

    1. drlanaperez's avatar drlanaperez says:

Absolutely! You can put anything that is oven safe, in the Omni. However, the air flows hard so you need to make sure you have food weighing out down well or the sides will lift up.
