Instant Omni Beginner’s Guide and Tutorial

Instant Omni Beginner’s Guide and Tutorial

I love my Instant Omni 26 L Toaster Air Fryer 7 in 1 Oven, even though I have no idea what the actual name is so I just all it the Instant Omni. However, if you have one you probably have noticed that with all the functions and great modes and bells and whistles, one of the whistles it lacks is a detailed instruction manual. They do have the online manual which you can find here:

Instant Omni Full Online Manual

But even that manual lacks a lot of clarity when it comes to questions like..

  • When do I use the black tray?
  • How do I keep the food from dripping everywhere?
  • When do the bottom heating elements turn on?
  • HELP MY FOOD KEEPS BURNING BEFORE IT’S COOKED THROUGH!!!!

So, here is my answer to keep you from throwing this awesome oven out the window. I promise, once you understand how it works after watching this video, you are going to love how fast, easy, and perfectly cooked your food comes out!

Scroll down to find a link to the accessories I mentioned in the video. You can also find them in the description under the video as well.

Thank You for this guide! It made our decision to buy the Omni Plus easier! I own a Wolfgang Puck Pressure oven, aPower Air Fryer Oven Elite and the Nuwave Bravo! That Nuwave thing is a right PITA! I can’t get it turned on correctly most of the time without getting the crappy book out!Hubby was tired of listening to me fuss& fume!

Hi. You really can’t. They don’t sell them separately and I have tried all kinds to see if i could find one that fits and I have had no luck. But if you find my accessories blog I have a basket from Amazon that fits.

How can you bypass the preprogrammed functions on the Instant Omni Plus.

You can’t really bypass them that I know of. However, you can adjust the Time and Temp on any mode. So if you want to Air Fry, press the Air Fry mode and then adjust the Time and Temp to what you want regardless of the setting by tuning the knob to adjust the Time and then press the button in and it will allow you to adjust the Temp. Make sure to press START after adjusting the Time and Temp or it will go back to the default preprogrammed one. I have a video on the Omni Plus. https://lanaunderpressure.com/2020/01/28/instant-omni-plus-beginners-guide-and-comparison/

How do you know how long to cook a chuck roast in slow cook?

Hi. It would be similar to the time abd temp in a slow cooker. If you have a recipe for a crock pot use that time but add about 25 degrees higher.

I am confused about the preheat on the Omni – I don't understand how the preheat time is determined, and also once the cooking starts the Omni will not allow me to program less then 5 minutes. And, when I stop the Omni after a 4-minute time, per recipe, it goes back to preheat mode – I am not sure how much time I am actually cooking the food. Plus it seems a bit inconvenient and/or necessary to preheat in between turning the food. What am I missing?

HI. So the preheat function is time based not temp based. For the modes that use it, it will always preheat for a certain time period. Now if you turn food, don't turn off the oven so when you close the door it won't go back into preheat mode. IF you want to cook something without preheat, use reheat mode. Hope this helps.

Will the reheat mode allow me to set the time and temp. to what I want?
